What Kilowise is
Kilowise is an independent tool for comparing Texas electricity plans. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Public Utility Commission of Texas, PowerToChoose, any transmission and distribution utility, or any retail electricity provider named on this site.
Where the numbers come from
Plan pricing and terms come from the same public data Texas's official comparison site publishes, plus, for some plans, an automated reading of that plan's published Electricity Facts Label. Kilowise doesn't verify pricing with each provider directly, and the underlying public data can lag a provider's current offer. A "compare your own offer" figure you enter yourself is used exactly as entered and isn't checked against anything.
No guarantee
Estimated costs, cliff-warning badges, and rankings on this site are for information only and are not a guarantee of what you will be billed. A missing cliff-warning badge is not a guarantee that a plan has no usage threshold; it means Kilowise hasn't found one the way it currently reads that plan. Kilowise is not responsible for any difference between an estimate shown here and what a provider actually bills you, or for any contract, fee, or obligation you enter into with a provider.

Links to a plan's Electricity Facts Label, a provider's enrollment page, or a provider's own website go directly to that third party's site, outside Kilowise's control. Read the plan's actual EFL and the provider's own terms before enrolling.
