The short version
Kilowise has no user accounts, sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and sends nothing you type to a third party. The zip code and usage figures you enter are used to compute your comparison and nothing else. They are not saved against you.
What isn't collected
There's no sign-up and no login. The "compare your own offer" feature, where you enter a provider's renewal or loyalty offer, exists entirely within that one request: the numbers you type produce that page's results and are gone once the response is sent. Nothing is written to a database.
What is logged, and why
Like any web server, Kilowise keeps a basic operational log of the requests it handles: the page asked for, whether it worked, how long it took, a random ID for that one request, and whether it came from a browser or an automated tool. The log doesn't record your IP address or anything in the address after the page name, so it never holds the zip code or usage you entered. It exists to catch errors and gauge load, and it isn't tied to any individual.
One exception: when you look up plans by zip code, Kilowise caches the result so that a repeat lookup for the same zip, from anyone, doesn't have to hit the lookup service again. That cache stores only the zip code and the utility it maps to, not who looked it up.
Browser storage
Kilowise sets no cookies and uses no browser storage for tracking or identification. One exception: the tool our pages use to update results without a full reload keeps a short-lived snapshot of recently visited pages in your browser, so the back and forward buttons feel instant. That stays on your device, is never sent to the server, and isn't used to identify or track you.
